Telecommunications Operators
In broadband pre-IMS and IMS networks, providing guaranteed Quality of Service cost-efficiently is a key requirement. It is essential for the successful commercial deployment and operation of new services, such as IPTV, VoIP and Fixed Mobile Convergence.
Operax dynamic Resource and Admission Control products logically reside between applications and the transport network layer. From the control plane position Operax Resource Controllers control the use of network resources on behalf of applications to provide QoS guarantees, while ensuring the efficient and optimized use of network resources. They can be deployed to solve single service network contention and optimization issues, or be deployed across multi-service infrastructures such as IMS or FMC.

Defense
Tactical military networks must support a range of demanding uses including messaging, command and control systems, video conferencing, Voice over IP, data replication services, E-mail, web services, and file sharing. It is a technical and physical reality that bandwidth and data rates remain limited, and can change due to operational circumstances. Therefore, Resource Control is required to ensure that mission-critical applications are intelligently allocated the network resources required for effective communications, under all load and network configuration conditions, to ensure mission success.

Operax Resource Controller 3300
Operax Resource Controller 3300TM is a dynamic Resource and Admission Control (dRAC) product for single service deployments such as IPTV and VoD in non-IMS and pre-IMS environments. It provides per session and per subscriber QoS guarantees across broadband access, aggregation and edge networks – while allowing efficient resource utilization.
The base Resource Controller 3300 minimizes network integration and start up costs whilst providing functionality normally found in much larger scale products.

Operax Resource Controller 5500
Operax Resource Controller 5500TM is a dynamic Resource and Admission Control system for large scale single and multi-application deployments. It provides per session and per subscriber QoS guarantees across broadband access, aggregation and edge networks – while allowing efficient resource utilization. It is a standards-based (ETSI TISPAN RACS, ITU-T RACF, 3GPP PDF/PCRF) and allows operators to deploy and mix VoIP, IPTV, VoD, and IMS-based services, with guaranteed service performance, on a shared infrastructure.

Operax Resource Controller 5700
Operax Resource Controller 5700TM is a dynamic Resource and Admission Control system for large scale single or multi-application solutions. It provides per session QoS guarantees across IP/MPLS based metro and core networks.

With automatic and dynamic topology awareness Resource Controller 5700 implements dRAC at the IP level for any underlying layer-two network, including emerging technologies such as Provider Backbone Transport (PBT and Provider Backbone Bridging Traffic Engineering (PBB-TE) and more traditional core technologies such as Packet over SONET/SDH.

When used together, Operax Resource Controller 5500 and Resource Controller 5700 provide true end-to-end dynamic Resource and Admission Control across access, aggregation and core network operations.

Operax Command Resource Controller
Operax provides mission-proven COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) solutions for guaranteeing end-to-end communication in systems for military communications networks designed on the principles of Network Centric Warfare (NCW), Network Centric Operations (NCO), Network Enabled Capability (NEC), and Network Based Defense. Operax technology, with its real-time awareness of network topologies and its ability to react immediately to changes in bandwidth allocation policies, suits the needs of the new generation of joint international forces working with multimedia communication.
