Ipswich, UK, October 4 2004
Operax is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming Global Multiservice Switching Forum Interoperability 2004 (GMI 2004). It will be conducted simultaneously at KT and NTT in Asia, BT in Europe and Quest in North America between October 4 – 16. Operax Bandwidth Manager will be implemented in the BT test lab in the United Kingdom. The primary objective of GMI 2004 is to demonstrate a deployable and operationally ready IP telephony network with services, applications, network management, enhanced quality of service (QoS) and security features.
GMI 2004 will be hosted by major carriers in North America, the UK, Japan and Korea. Each test site will be connected by live network facilities, creating a realistic test environment to examine the interoperability and deployment of multi-service next generation networks on a global scale. GMI 2004 will test application servers, media servers, service brokers, call agents, bandwidth managers and other control and management systems against the specific protocols defined in MSF Implementation Agreements (IAs).
”Our participation in GMI 2004 will clearly demonstrate Operax as the leader in Bandwidth Management in the new generation of Multi Service Networks, says Mr Anders Lindén, CEO Operax, and he continues: ”The integration in GMI 2004 shows Operax capabilities and the advantage of a multi-vendor solution, when integrated with a number of leading softswitch vendors, router vendors and other suppliers of state-of-the-art telecom equipment.”
